Job Description:

 

Regeneron is in search of a skilled Sr AI/ML Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. In the role of AI/ML Senior Engineer, you will focus on hands-on engineering and development work, driving the creation and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions within our various research and development projects. In the role you will work collaboratively with data scientists, researchers, and software engineers to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions, addressing a range of business challenges. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining machine learning models, crafting advanced algorithms, and ensuring the scalability and robustness of our AI systems.

 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

·         Design, develop, and deploy AI models, algorithms, and systems to analyze complex biological and pharmaceutical data.·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and contribute to project goals, requirements, and deliverables.·         Create and maintain machine learning models, developing advanced algorithms for tasks such as image analysis, natural language processing, and predictive modeling.·         Design and optimize data pipelines and workflows for efficient data collection, preprocessing, and storage for AI training and evaluation.·         Adhere to best practices in AI model development, deployment, and maintenance, with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and regulatory compliance.·         Stay abreast of the latest AI advancements, assessing their potential application and promoting innovation within the organization.·         Engage with external partners to integrate cutting-edge AI technologies and tools.·         Provide expertise in AI-related discussions, presenting findings and insights to stakeholders.·         Implement and refine state-of-the-art machine learning models and deep learning architectures.·         Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization to analyze and interpret AI model outputs, delivering insights to stakeholders.·         Optimize AI models for performance and reliability, considering computational and regulatory constraints.·         Contribute to the development of AI-related best practices, standards, and guidelines within the organization.·         Participate in scientific and technical discussions, presenting findings to various audiences.·         Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI models and systems.·         Communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

 

 

 

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.·         At least 7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, preferably within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.·         Profound knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and statistical methods.·         Proficient programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with software engineering practices.·         Practical experience in developing and deploying AI models.·         Experience in using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services.·         Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.·         Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.·         Understanding of regulatory compliance related to AI in the biotech and pharma industries is advantageous.·         Knowledge of natural language processing techniques and tools.·         Enthusiasm for keeping up-to-date with AI research and advancements.

 

 

Nice to Have: 

• Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases. 
• Experience with Dataiku, Databricks, AWS Sage maker, Google Vertex AI
• Experience with OpenAI and other Generative AI Models

• Knowledge of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
