The Sr SAPIO Architect with experience in SAPIO Platform & technologies is a key role on the team, enabling science by leading the architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance standards of new and scientific capabilities that add demonstrable value to the scientific operations of Research & Pre-Clinical Development at Regeneron.

Responsibilities:

The role you will play includes:

• Collaboration with SBA and Scientists to improve data models, increasing data accessibility and promoting data-driven decision making.

• Hands-on Technologist with skill to develop and maintain scalable system solution on SAPIO platform.
• Defining and driving adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Acting as an expert technical resource for SAPIO platform
• Build optimal solutions utilizing Sapio’s low code/no code features like out-of-the-box configurations, rules engine, and webhooks. If required, extend Sapio’s baseline implementation to develop custom solutions that cater to the needs of Scientists.
• Maintaining strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products; evaluating AWS Services, Opensource & Vendor tools and implementing new technologies
• Mentoring on approach and execution of solutions, coaching on technologies, and establishing a team-wide comprehension of solution capabilities and direction
• Responsible for managing the development and implementation of system engineering technologies, platforms and services product standards, procedures, policies, and processes.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical parties.
• Quickly learn highly technical complex applications.
• Have strong understanding and experience with microservice design patterns and event-based architectures.
• Prior work experience and delivery of solutions based on AWS products and solutions.

Requirements:

Skills and expertise you will bring to the table include:

 

• 7+ years’ experience in systems implementations with a focus on application design & development on SAPIO platform
• Experience in developing optimal Sapio solutions using Rules engine, Python webhooks, and Java server-side plugins
• Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical experience with Bioinformatics highly preferred
• Proven ability to adapt to new languages, frameworks, technologies as the need arises; previous experience in a role selecting, adopting, and using technology that makes business sense, is supportable, and scalable.
• Experience with other ELN/LIMS COTs systems and relevant technologies.
• Experience in integration solution for enterprise web applications.
• Experience designing with Event Driven Architecture & Distributed Architecture based Software solutions.
• Working experience with AWS Serverless Services Solutions
• Demonstrable skill in collaborating with other IT teams, vendor partners, internal collaborators, and architects to deliver solutions, advocacy for a DevOps approach to the software development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of the practical application of Agile development methods and leading software development teams in an Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery environment
• Ability to formulate and articulate the technical and business implications of creating and delivering transformative technical solutions in an innovative, high-growth, demanding business area.
• Interest in and experience mentoring junior developers and driving technical discussions and decisions
