Job Description:
1. Work with the Network Design team, technical manager, and the project manager to understand the project testing requirements and identify the test scope and effort.
2. Derive comprehensive test strategy based on the project deliverable.
3. Drive Test reviews and Code reviews.
4. Collaborate with the Network Fulfilment/Implementation and the Network operations team to ensure a successful deployment in the production.
5. Reproduce and debug the issues found in production; work with the design and network operations team to test the solution for the issue.
6. Automate the test cases as per the testing strategy and project deliverable outlined for the project.
7. Mentor junior test engineers to ensure that they achieve the set test objectives.
8. Take initiatives to identify and close test gaps.
9. Be part of a dynamic team to work on your own initiative to manage and deliver a continuous workload with all Sky policies adhered to.
Skillset
Must have:
1. 7 – 11 years of experience in testing a variety of hardware platforms; Cisco, Alcatel/Nokia.
2. An understanding of distributed architecture used today to build a very fast-moving environment.
3. Working experience with Cisco IOS or IOS-XR (Cisco NCS5K, ASR9K), and Alcatel/Nokia TiMOS (BNG, 7750 SR series).
4. Work experience with Routing/Switching; Segment routing, MAP-T, IP/MPLS, LDP, ISIS, BGP, EVPN, ACL’s, QoS, IPoE, PPPoE, DHCP, OLT/FTTP/FTTH/FTTC, Fibre technology.
5. CCNP Service Provider certification is a plus.
6. Knowledge of Python is a must.
7. Excellent verbal and listening communication skills.
Good to have:
1. Experience with Switches Huawei CX600, Alcatel 7210 platform.
2. Experience with Cloud based systems.
3. Knowledge of GIT and JIRA
4. An ability to work with Open-config and Vendor specific NETCONF-YANG models,
JSON and XML payload for network automation to configure and manage routers.
