External Description:

 

Group Service Management (GSM) is key to our ability to serve our customers continually.
As a Project Manager within our GSM organisation, you will be responsible for GSM
transformation projects relating to service Improvement and operational excellence across
Sky Group territories including UK, Italy, and Germany, as well as in partnership with our

colleagues in Comcast NBCU.
Primary focus for 2023 will be in defining and delivering both the tactical and strategic
elements of a programme to establish and mature Technology Resilience / IT Service
Continuity Operations across Sky Group in conjunction with Operations Resilience /
Business Continuity and Cyber Security teams. Technology resilience is key to our ability to
serve our customers continually.
This role will have high visibility within Sky. You will be working with all parts of the
organisation as you help establish and co-ordinate end-to-end resiliency operations for Sky
Technology’s critical & major platforms and services.
It is a challenging and rewarding role, and you will need to be self-motivated, self-sufficient
and resilient.

Your key responsibilities

 Leading complex projects in GSM, through from the early stage of initiation to the
final implementation including demonstration of benefits and KPI targets.
 Exercise all the attributes expected within the role including scope management,
plan management, budgetary control, change control, risk and issue management.
 Use IT Service Continuity experience to provide structure and guidance to the
overall programme and to be the calm voice of reason ensuring focus is on the key
priorities.
 Build strong and collaborative relationships across the business, operational and
delivery areas and to be seen as a trusted Technology Resilience / IT Service
Continuity and Cyber Security delivery resource. This will include building cohesive
and efficient matrix cross functional delivery teams.
 Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across business,
operational and delivery areas as a ‘trusted advisor’, in order to align on
recommendations, guide them towards feasible solutions, resolve issues and agree
delivery strategy without disrupting delivery initiatives.
 Build good industry knowledge within the Technology Resilience / IT Service
Continuity portfolio so that you can clearly articulate and manage the context of the
delivery to ensure the project delivery is aligned to the overall strategy of the
business.
 Innovate to continuously improve project delivery best practice, both within the team
and externally within Sky.

Candidate Specification
Your skills
 You will have specialist knowledge centred around Technology Resilience / IT Service
Continuity Management Disaster Recovery and Cyber Security.
 Experience, and a keen interest in project delivery for Technology Service
Management policies and solutions that operate across multi-platform, multi-
organisation, and complex technologies.
 You will have a pragmatic, results and delivery, oriented mindset, with a track record of
having facilitated Technology Resilience / IT Service Continuity and Cyber Security for
very large cross-enterprise initiatives, ideally in industry related to Sky’s core products,
but this domain experience is not essential. We want people who have delivered large
initiatives from start to finish and have experienced all phases of a delivery lifecycle.

 We’d love you to be a brilliant communicator and listener, who is able to translate
messages and simplify and summarise problems in a straightforward and succinct
manner.
 We want you to be flexible in your approach and be able to adapt your style and
methods to get the best out of the business in delivering a programme. Being able to
recognise when things are not working and need changing is core to what we are
