About the role:

You are passionate about solving new problems, simplifying complex technical challenges and continuous improvement. As Cloud Engineering Lead, you will partner with passionate teammates to engage with engineers and software developers to architect and solution highly available, secure, efficient cloud services that operate at enterprise scale. You’ll be expected to provide technical leadership as an expert in cloud development.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will contribute to developing tools and applications to accelerate cloud development and develop reusable infrastructure configuration code, templates to enable self-service deployment of cloud infrastructure.

• Responsible for the successful delivery of service engineering tasks, region/location enablement, new service introduction for Azure services, cloud infrastructure services and ensuring a strong security posture is in place to protect Dyson data.
• Execute on our strategies for Cloud First, Accelerated delivery and Self-Service consumption of public cloud services.
• Partner with peer teams in our Platform as a Service organization to enable Automated Infrastructure Delivery, DevSecOps value streams are executed and CICD pipelines deliver models can we executed on our Cloud Platform.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure the delivery of team assignments are completed in a timely matter per agreed upon SLA.
• Understand hybrid cloud architectures, cloud technology standards and have an advanced technical acumen to have technical conversations with Service Delivery Leads on project execution.

 

 

About you:

• 10+ years leading, designing, architecting, deploying, and/or on-boarding private/hybrid/public cloud solutions leveraging technologies like OpenStack, Chef, Ansible, AngularJS, NoSQL database, web/app server
• Real-live experience deploying applications to the Cloud Platform
• Real-live experience with Docker/Container
• Experience writing requirements/specifications, configuring, deploying and testing OpenStack
• Hands-on experience in prototyping, proving, and building solutions using Open Source, Java, .NET, Ruby, Chef/Puppet/Ansible
• Hands-on experience in SDLC, requirements and specifications engineering, solution architecture, design, development, integration, software testing and deployment
• Experience developing or operating enterprise applications at scale
• Broad set of technical skills and knowledge across hardware, software, systems and solutions development and a across more than one technical domain
• Real world IT or other solutions environments including creating (on your own or with a team) a product or IT solution in the area of middleware technologies (application server, web server, distributed cache, message queuing, BI, API management, service registry)
• Demonstrated ability to quickly perform proof-of-concepts for validating new technology or approach
